[Lancaster, PA] — The F&M Global Barometers, a research organization tracking the state of LGBTQI+ rights in 204 countries and based out of Franklin & Marshall College, needs your help! The F&M Global Barometers Perception Index (GBPI) is a groundbreaking survey which documents the lived human rights reality of the global LGBTQI+ community. The perception index gives voice to LGBTQI+ people worldwide.

About the Survey
The GBPI launched on August 19, 2024, and is available in 15 languages: Arabic, Bengali, Dutch, English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Mandarin Chinese, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swahili, Thai, and Urdu. The survey is available to over 4.2 billion people worldwide.
Based on their responses, each country or state is assigned a letter grade (A-F) and assessed on a scale of 0-100% where A (100%) is the highest and F (0%) is the lowest.
All responses are completely anonymous, ensuring the safety and security of individuals taking part in the survey.
About the F&M Global Barometers: Housed at Franklin & Marshall College, an undergraduate liberal arts institution established in 1787 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, the F&M Global Barometers (FMGB) measures the state of LGBTQI+ rights in 204 countries and regions. The FMGB comprises three primary projects: the F&M Global Barometer of Gay Rights (GBGR), the Global Barometer of Transgender Rights (GBTR), and the F&M Global Barometers LGBTQI+ Perception Index (GBPI). The GBGR and GBTR measure the state- and societal-level of persecution towards LGBT individuals while the GBPI is
a survey that assesses the lived human rights reality of the LGBTQI+ community.
